The lost Dr. Seuss Poem
I Love My Job!
I love my job, I love the pay!
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss, he is the best!
I love his boss and all the rest.
I love my office and its location,
I hate to have to go on vacation.
I love my furniture, drab and grey,
And piles of paper that grow each day!
I think my job is really swell,
There’s nothing else I love so well.
I love to work among my peers,
I love their leers and jeers and sneers.
I love my computer and its software,
I hug it often though it won’t care.
I love each program and every file,
I’d love them more if they worked a while.
I’m happy to be here. I am. I am.
I’m the happiest slave of the Firm, I am.
I love this work, I love these chores.
I love the meetings with deadly bores.
I love my job – I’ll say it again.
I even love those friendly men.
Those friendly men who’ve come today,
In clean white coats to take me away!!!!
Poems can also be represented in a humorous way.
Even though these poems are mostly made for children, i love them.
They're a little goofy and they're enjoyable to read.
can speak to you in all different ways, as you can see..
It can talk about pain,
or joy,
even depression.
For some poets, their life was made up of poetry.
Writing would cure their sadness or revive their happiness.
And for others writing would bring back memories..
Rita Dove: born in Akron, Ohio, in 1952. She served as Poet Laureate of the United States from 1993 to 1995. She wrote many books including Sonata Mulattica (W. W. Norton, 2009); American Smooth (2004); On the Bus with Rosa Parks (1999), which was named a New York Times Notable Book of the Year.
In her writing she brought back great memories in everyone's life.
On the Bus with Rosa parks, represented the unfairness between whites and african americans.
On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to make room for a white passenger. It helps us as basic human beings everything we've achieved and been through to get where we are today.
And that was a big moment in history that was reminded to us by a simple book.
What if your Friends forgot you,
What would you think?
What would you do if your loved one left you,
What would you feel?
LIFE is full of lost causes,
It's full of disappointments,
Full of pleasures,
as well as sins.
It's hard to be HAPPY,
when EVERYthings going wrong,
It's hard to keep a smile,
when PAINS lasting too long.
What would you do?
When lifes not fair.
I turn to FAMILY,
cause familys always THERE.
